In a tragic incident that has shaken the community of La Romana, a fatal car accident occurred this afternoon, leaving one woman dead and two others injured.
The crash involved a gray Mazda Demio traveling along a busy roadway. Inside the vehicle were three occupants: the driver, Angela Merici Ubiera Sosa; her companion, Maribel Sosa Polanco; and Ruth Sosa, who lost her life in the collision.
According to early witness accounts, the vehicle was moving at a moderate speed when an unexpected situation led to the crash. The impact was severe, resulting in critical injuries for the two survivors and proving fatal for Ruth Sosa.
