I still remember the weight of it in my hand—cold and unfamiliar—like I had just picked up something that didn’t belong in my life. The wardrobe was silent, but my mind wasn’t. It filled the gaps instantly: doubt, fear, imagined stories I never wanted to consider. Every small detail from the past suddenly felt suspicious, rearranged by my thoughts into something heavier than it ever was.
But curiosity eventually pushed past the panic. I sat down and looked it up on my phone.
The answer appeared almost immediately, almost embarrassingly simple: an applicator nozzle for silicone sealant. Just a tool. Nothing more.
I let out a laugh, but it came out uneasy—half relief, half embarrassment. And in that moment, I realized how quickly the mind can turn something ordinary into a story of suspicion, and how fragile trust can feel when fear takes over.
