I ordered a pizza in the evening, and the delivery driver came and dropped it off at my door.

For several long moments I just stood there staring, my appetite replaced by suspicion. The “blisters” looked oddly organic, like strange swollen shapes trapped beneath the melted cheese—smooth, inflated, and glistening in a way that made them feel unsettling. My mind started jumping to conclusions: odd ingredients, a mistake in the kitchen, maybe even something gone wrong with the food.

The more I looked at it, the more it felt both fascinating and slightly disturbing—like something that was almost normal, but not quite.

Eventually, curiosity got the better of me. I went online, scrolling through photos and reading posts from other people who had seen the same thing and were just as confused. That’s when I finally understood: those strange bubbles were just air pockets in the cheese that expanded in the oven. Nothing unusual, nothing dangerous—just heat doing its thing.

I ended up laughing at myself, picked up a slice, and took a bite anyway. Because sometimes what looks strange at first turns out to be completely harmless… and still delicious.
