I can still remember how strange it felt in my hand—cold, unfamiliar, and instantly unsettling. Standing there in front of the closet, my mind spiraled faster than I could stop it. Suddenly, every late-night notification, every awkward silence, every tiny unanswered question felt connected in ways I never wanted to believe.
For a few awful minutes, I convinced myself this object meant something terrible. My imagination filled in gaps that reality hadn’t even touched.
But curiosity finally won over panic. I grabbed my phone, searched for it, and within seconds the answer appeared: a silicone sealant applicator nozzle. Just a simple household tool.
I laughed out loud from relief, though part of me felt embarrassed by how quickly fear had taken control. It’s strange how the mind works sometimes—how an ordinary object can become a symbol of doubt when trust feels vulnerable.
