U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that he is “ready to go” back to war with Iran if no agreement is reached before the ceasefire deadline tomorrow. Diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions involving the U.S., Israel, and Tehran remain highly uncertain, with Iranian officials stating they will not negotiate under what they describe as “threats” or while a U.S. naval blockade is in place.
Meanwhile, violence continues to spread across the region. In the occupied West Bank, gunfire from Israeli settlers has reportedly killed two people, including a child, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society. The incident adds to growing concerns over a rapidly deteriorating security situation as the conflict continues to spill beyond its core battlegrounds.
Elsewhere, Joseph Aoun has urged national unity ahead of upcoming ambassador-level talks between Lebanon and Israel in Washington, D.C., scheduled for Thursday. At the same time, Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon have continued, with reports of six people injured in Qaaqaaiyet El Jisr and residential homes destroyed in Khiam—actions described as violations of the ongoing ceasefire agreement.
