Investigators say they discovered extensive anti-Trump and anti-Christian rhetoric on the suspect’s social media accounts, along with what authorities describe as a manifesto outlining alleged intentions. Reports indicate the situation escalated after the suspect’s brother contacted the New London Police Department upon receiving the document, prompting immediate concern and a broader investigation.
Law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Secret Service and Montgomery County Police, later interviewed family members at their Rockville residence. During questioning, the suspect’s sister reportedly described a pattern of increasingly erratic behavior, saying he frequently spoke about needing to do “something” to fix the world. She also stated that he had purchased multiple firearms and stored them at their parents’ home without their knowledge, while regularly practicing at shooting ranges.
Authorities further noted possible connections to activist groups, including one referred to as “The Wide Awakes,” as well as participation in a “No Kings” protest in California. The investigation is ongoing as officials work to establish a full timeline and determine how these factors may be connected, with additional details expected to emerge.
