Japan’s Prime Minister makes surprising remark about Barron during Trump meeting
During a White House dinner with Donald Trump, Japan’s Prime Minister drew attention after making a light but notable comment about the president’s youngest son, Barron Trump.
The visit, which marked her first since taking office in October 2025, included formal discussions between the two leaders, but also a few more personal moments.
Speaking through a translator, she mentioned Barron ahead of his birthday, saying she had noticed how much he has grown. She described him as “a very tall, good-looking young gentleman” and added that his appearance clearly reflects both of his parents.
Trump appeared pleased by the remark, smiling and thanking her as the moment drew a warm reaction.
The exchange added a lighter note to the visit, which otherwise focused on diplomatic and economic discussions between the United States and Japan.
