Ten-year-old Perla Alison has been found dead after a four-day search in Mexico City, bringing a tragic end to the case that had mobilized both authorities and the local community.
Perla went missing last week after leaving her home in the Santa Martha Acatitla area to visit a nearby shop. When she did not return, her family reported her disappearance and an Amber Alert was issued, prompting a large-scale search effort involving police and volunteers.
On Tuesday evening, her body was discovered in an abandoned area near the Constitución de 1917 metro station. Emergency services secured the scene, and forensic teams were called in to investigate. Authorities have since opened a femicide investigation as they work to determine what happened.
