U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that he is “ready to go” back to war with Iran if no agreement is reached before the ceasefire deadline expires tomorrow. Diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran remain highly uncertain, while Iranian officials insist they will not negotiate under “the shadow of threats” or amid what they describe as coercive pressure.
Meanwhile, violence continues to escalate across the region. In the occupied West Bank, Israeli settler gunfire has reportedly killed two people, including a child, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society. The incident highlights the worsening security situation as unrest spreads beyond the main conflict zones.
Elsewhere, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has called for national unity ahead of upcoming U.S.-hosted ambassador-level talks involving Israel in Washington, D.C. Meanwhile, Israel has continued airstrikes in southern Lebanon, reportedly injuring civilians in Qaaqaaiyet El Jisr and destroying homes in Khiam—actions described in some reports as violations of the existing ceasefire arrangement.
